Azerbaijan, Montenegro explore bilateral and regional issues

Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met Thursday with Ervin Ibrahimović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, on the margins of the high-level week of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The meeting revolved around the cooperation between the two countries spanning the political, economic, energy and humanitarian realms.
The sides emphasized that high-level reciprocal visits and regular political consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers play a principal role in developing and continuing permanent political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Montenegro.
FM Bayramov informed the Montenegrin minister about Azerbaijan’s presidency of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), expressing Azerbaijan’s readiness for continuous cooperation with Montenegro in relevant environmental activities.
Jeyhun Bayramov provided an insight into the post-conflict period, ongoing restoration, reconstruction and peace efforts Azerbaijan, highlighting Azerbaijan’s continued efforts towards sustainable peace and security.
The two also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest at the meeting.
