Azerbaijan Opera and Ballet Theater to join International Festival in Germany

Today the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre will close the 107-th theatrical season with Gara Garayev's ‘Don Quixote’ and ‘Layla and Majnun’ ballets. The Theater is planning to take part in the 9th International Opera Festival Gut Immling in Germany. The tour will take place from 1 to 9 August with support of Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism. A 60-man delegation of Azerbaijani musicians will participate in the festival. The final closing Grand concert will feature world classics and pieces by Azerbaijani composers Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Gara Garayev, Fikret Amirov, Niyazi and Polad Bulbuloglu. Conductors are Gut Immling Cornelia von Kerssenbrok, People's Artist of Azerbaijan, professor Javanshir Jafarov, the winner of the International Conductors Competition Eyyub Guliyev and young conductor Murtuza Mammadov.
