AZERBAIJAN-ROMANIA-TURKEY FRIENDSHIP FUNCTION HELD IN BUCHAREST
Azerbaijani Embassy in Romania, Romania-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Romania-Turkey Chamber of Commerce and Industry have co-hosted the Azerbaijan-Romania-Turkey friendship function in Bucharest.
The event was attended by Romanian officials, senators, MPs, representatives of Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, diplomats and activists of the Azerbaijani, Turkish and Tatar communities.
Ambassador Eldar Hasanov stressed Azerbaijan-Romania relationships had been upgraded to the level of a strategic cooperation.
He said reciprocal visits of Presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Traian Basescu of Romania played important role in deepening friendly ties between the two countries. According to him, the Heydar Aliyev Park was opened in Romania in 2007 and local offices of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and State Oil Company of Azerbaijan began to work in this country.
Chairman of the Romania-Turkey Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tamer Atalay highlighted the noble activity of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s Romanian office. It did much work to popularize the history and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan.
