Azerbaijan sees rise in cargo and passenger transportation via vehicles
Baku, May 27 (AZERTAC). Some 35.4 million tons of cargo and 462.5 million passengers were transported via vehicles in January-April, 2013 in Azerbaijan. Cargo turnover has increased by 7% and passenger transport by 8.4% in comparison with outcomes of 2012.
According to the State Statistics Committee, 96.3% of the passengers were transported via buses, while 3.7% via taxis. The number of the passengers who used metro was 68.6 mln and it increased by 4.2% in comparison with last year.
