Azerbaijan, Serbia hail successful energy cooperation

Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy, along with Rovshan Najaf, President of Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company (SOCAR), met with Dubravka Đedović Handanović, Serbia’s Minister of Mining and Energy.
During the meeting, the sides highlighted the strategic partnership between the two countries, noting the positive dynamics in the development of economic relations.
They also stressed the importance of the first meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council between Azerbaijan and Serbia held at the beginning of 2026 in enhancing economic partnership and identifying new areas of cooperation.
The Serbian side was briefed on the favorable investment climate created in Azerbaijan.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation in the fields of energy, green technologies, infrastructure, industry and investment, including work carried out within the framework of cooperation with SOCAR and potential joint projects.
