Azerbaijan, Spain discuss cooperation prospects
Baku, April 24 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizade has met Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo to discuss cooperation prospects.
The sides noted that the current level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Spain did not meet the two countries’ potential.
They agreed that strengthening a legal framework and setting up a joint commission on economic cooperation would contribute to expanding bilateral relations.
The Azerbaijani Premier and the Spanish FM noted the significance of a joint business forum that would take place as part of Mr. Garcia-Margallo`s visit to Baku.
The forum will see Azerbaijani and Spanish businessmen explore ways of improving relations in the fields of energy, construction, transportation, agriculture, infrastructure, and tourism.
The Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was also discussed, and PM Rasizade expressed regret over “international organizations` double standard policy” towards the dispute.
