Azerbaijan and Spain will sign an agreement on development of economic links shortly.

The said document will also include issues of protection of investments, avoidance of double taxation. The Agreement is said to have positive influence on trade expansion between the two countries, Milli Majlis spokesman told AzerTAj correspondent.

According to the official returns, the trade turnover between Spain and Azerbaijan for 2003 has made up 50 million dollars. As a result of expedient economic policy, the figure is to raise five times current year.
