Azerbaijan to join inaugural European Chovkan Championship

Under organization of the International Chovken Federation (ICF), the first-ever European Championship in Chovken will be held in the Polish city of Szonowice on June 3-7.
National teams representing six European countries - Azerbaijan, the UK, Hungary, Malta, Poland and Türkiye - will demonstrate their skills in this prestigious competition.
The ICF 3rd General Assembly is slated to take place on June 4 as part of the tournament. The Assembly will offer an unparalleled platform for top-tier debates on the admission of new members, setting the dates and venues of the next continental competitions, as well as the future prospects of the federation.
The International Chovken Federation (ICF) has formulated a long-term competition calendar that encompasses organizing continental championships in odd years and world championships in even years. It is planned to hold championships in Asia, South America, Africa and Europe by 2025.
The International Chovken Federation was founded and its charter approved in Baku in February, 2024, with the participation of 19 countries. In June of the same year, during the second snap Assembly, the number of member countries of the federation reached 54. In 2024, the first World Chovken Championship was organized in Baku with the participation of 10 countries, and the Azerbaijani team seized the glory to become the winner of the World Cup. According to the decision adopted at the Assembly, the 2026 World Championship will be held in Baku.
