Azerbaijan, Türkiye deepen law enforcement collaboration

At the invitation of Azerbaijan’s Minister of Internal Affairs, General-Colonel Vilayat Eyvazov, Turkish Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi and his accompanying delegation arrived in Azerbaijan on an official visit.
On April 9, Mustafa Çiftçi and his delegation visited the Alley of Honour to pay tribute to Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Subsequently, they toured the "Eternal Flame" complex and the memorial dedicated to Turkish martyrs at the Alley of Martyrs.
Later the same day, Azerbaijan’s Interior Minister Vilayat Eyvazov met with his Turkish counterpart and his delegation, highlighting the strong cooperation between the two countries’ ministries, which is based on intergovernmental agreements covering mutual legal assistance, the exchange of experience, and broad collaboration.
Vilayat Eyvazov praised the Azerbaijani police and Internal Troops for their achievements in public order and crime prevention, acknowledged the support of Türkiye’s Interior Ministry and Gendarmerie, and expressed confidence that Mustafa Çiftçi’s first official visit would further strengthen bilateral relations.
Hailing the fruitful cooperation between the relevant agencies of the two countries, the minister noted that efforts to strengthen relations will continue.
