Azerbaijan, Türkiye to further expand cooperation in judicial affairs

A Turkish delegation led by Yusuf Kuzu, President of the 2nd Criminal Chamber of Türkiye’s Court of Cassation (Yargıtay), visited the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, Inam Karimov, Chief Justice of Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court, highlighted that Azerbaijan and Türkiye enjoy effective cooperation in the judicial and legal sphere, as in all areas. He noted that relations between the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan and Türkiye’s Court of Cassation are developing successfully under a Memorandum of Understanding, which provides for reciprocal judicial visits and the exchange of experience. The importance of sharing expertise and studying advanced judicial practices in both countries was also emphasized.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Yusuf Kuzu praised the bilateral relations and noted that the visit aims to exchange judicial experience, study advanced practices, and further expand cooperation.
The meeting also covered judicial practice, criminal proceedings, and prospects for future cooperation.
The Turkish delegation will hold a series of meetings in Azerbaijan as part of its visit from April 13 to 19.
