Azerbaijan, UAE explore food products circulation

Goshgar Tahmazli, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Food Safety Agency (AQTA), met with Mohammed Al Blooshi, the UAE Ambassador to Azerbaijan, to discuss enhancing cooperation in food product circulation and other related areas.
During the meeting, Tahmazli provided an overview of Azerbaijan's efforts to ensure food safety, including collaborations with international organizations and foreign countries. Discussions highlighted strengthening ties between the relevant institutions of both nations and reviewed import and export statistics.
The parties also addressed the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan and the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment on cooperation in animal health and food safety." The focus was on streamlining procedures for approving certificates to facilitate the export of veterinary-controlled products from Azerbaijan to the UAE.
Ambassador Al Blooshi emphasized his commitment to fostering closer relations between the two countries' state institutions during his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.
