AZERBAIJAN, UKRAINE TO CO-OP IN EMERGENCY SPHERE
Baku, September 19 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov and his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Shandra signed Friday an action plan on cooperation between the two countries` ministries for 2009-2011.
Prior to the signing ceremony, discussions were held between Heydarov and Shandra during which the Azerbaijani minister briefed his Ukrainian counterpart on the ongoing economic reforms in the country.
Heydarov praised the current level of relationship between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
He also underscored the importance of cooperation between countries on preventing natural disasters and eliminating their consequences.
For his part, Vladimir Shandra said “today`s meeting” would contribute to boosting cooperation between the two counties` ministries.
