Azerbaijan, UNFPA cooperation discussed
Baku, May 8 (AZERTAC). Chairperson of the Azerbaijan State Committee for Women, Family and Children`s Affairs Hijran Huseynova has met director of the Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Heimo Laakkonen to discuss cooperation between the country and the organization.
Huseynova highlighted the Azerbaijani government`s gender policy, saying the country is maintaining cooperation with a number of international organizations, in particular, UNFPA Baku Office.
“Azerbaijan’s successful experience in this area will be interesting for other countries too,” Huseynova said.
Laakkonen praised the projects carried out under the bilateral cooperation.
