Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan discuss energy cooperation road map in Almaty

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov has met with First Deputy Minister of Energy, Acting Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Azim Akhmedkhadjaev on the sidelines of the Meeting of Energy Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
At the meeting, the issues arising from the implementation of the Road Map signed in August this year on the expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in the field of energy were discussed. The sides also exchanged views on cooperation on transportation of oil and petrochemical products from Azerbaijan, electric and gas turbine stations projects, as well as energy regulation. It was noted that the political will of the heads of states and the tasks set are the basis of the activities related to the development of comprehensive relations between the two countries. Thanks to the strengthening of mutual efforts and coordinated activities, the multifaceted areas of cooperation in the energy sector will contribute to the deepening of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
