Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan hold regular consular consultations

Foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan held another round of consular consultations in Tashkent on Wednesday.
The talks were led by Emil Safarov, head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, and Bobur Azizov, Director of the Consular and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, along with their respective delegations.
Representatives from Azerbaijan’s State Migration Service and Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, and the Agency for External Labour Migration also participated in the consultations.
Discussions focused on the current state and prospects of consular cooperation between the two allied nations, as well as the possibility of signing new bilateral agreements in this field.
The protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms, along with developments in migration and justice relations, were also key topics.
