Azerbaijani ambassador presents credentials to King of Norway

Baku, May 12 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani ambassador to Sweden with concurrent accreditation to Norway Adish Mammadov has handed over his credentials to King Harald V of Norway.
Mr. Mammadov conveyed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s greetings and best wishes to the King.
Highlighting the Azerbaijan-Norway relations, the ambassador noted he would spare no efforts to contribute to strengthening the political, economic, and cultural ties during his tenure.
King Harald V also spoke of the bilateral ties between the two countries, especially praising Statoil`s activities in Azerbaijan.
The King said Norway was interested in continuing the bilateral cooperation in a variety of fields and sharing experience with Azerbaijan.
Ambassador Mammadov informed the King of Norway about the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
They also discussed the ongoing military and political disputes in the post-Soviet region.
King Harald V asked the ambassador pass on his greetings to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
