AZERBAIJANI AMBASSADOR PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO PRESIDENT OF MAURITANIA

Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Morocco Agabeyov has visited the Mauritanian city of Nouakchott to be accredited in and present his credentials to the President Sidi Ould Cheikh Abdallahi of this Islamic Republic.

At the meeting with the Mauritanian leader, he conveyed to him the greetings from his Azeri counterpart Ilham Aliyev, and expressed confidence in enhancement of cooperation between the two countries.

President Sidi Ould Cheikh Abdallahi, in his turn, said he was pleased with accreditation of the Azerbaijani Ambassador in Mauritania, and expressed his country’s readiness to cooperate with Azerbaijan.

Sabir Agabeyov also met here with Mauritanian Foreign Affairs Minister Mohamed Salek Ould Mohamed Lemin. During the conversation, the Mauritanian top diplomat expressed confidence that activity of the Azeri Ambassador in his country will give a push to development of bilateral relations.

The parties have agreed on drawing up and signing of a number of documents to create a legal basis for Azerbaijan-Mauritania relations.
