Azerbaijani Ambassador presents credentials to President of Zimbabwe
Baku, April 3 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Ambassador to South Africa with concurrent accreditation to Zimbabwe Elkhan Polukhov has today handed over his credentials to Zimbabwean President Robert Gabriel Mugabe.
Polukhov said he was happy to be the first Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Zimbabwe.
The Ambassador noted he would spare no efforts to contribute to expanding the Azerbaijan-Zimbabwe ties during his tenure.
The diplomat conveyed greetings of Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev to President Robert Gabriel Mugabe.
He also noted that Azerbaijan became the regional leader in a short period of time after regaining its independence.
The Ambassador expressed Azerbaijan’s readiness to exchange experience with Zimbabwe.
The Zimbabwean President asked Polukhov to deliver his greetings to President Ilham Aliyev.
The Zimbabwean leader expressed hope that the bilateral ties between the two countries would continue to develop even further.
