Azerbaijani and Slovenian FMs discuss topics of mutual interest

On December 5, Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Tanja Fajon, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, on the sidelines of the 31st OSCE Ministerial Council.
The ministers discussed the prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovenia, as well as regional and international issues on the current agenda.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized Azerbaijan's commitment to the development of bilateral and multilateral relations with Slovenia, based on friendship, mutual respect, and beneficial cooperation. He highlighted the importance of reciprocal visits and continuous political dialogue for further advancing relations.
The minister also noted significant opportunities for cooperation in areas such as the economy, trade, energy, and especially green energy.
Minister Tanja Fajon was provided with detailed information about Azerbaijan’s hosting and Presidency of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, along with the session’s outcomes. FM Bayramov underlined that Azerbaijan would continue to contribute to international efforts in combating climate change and expressed the country’s readiness to cooperate in this regard.
Minister Bayramov also highlighted the current situation and realities in the region during the post-conflict period, including large-scale restoration and reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories, as well as the latest developments in the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization agenda.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other topics of mutual interest between the two countries.
