Azerbaijani and Turkish foreign ministers meet in Cairo

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan, on the margins of the 11th Summit of the Developing Eight Organization for Economic Cooperation (D-8) in Cairo.
During the conversation, Foreign Minister Fidan conveyed his congratulations to Minister Bayramov on the election of Azerbaijan as a member of D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation.
The meeting saw discussions on issues arising from the brotherly relations and strategic alliance between the two countries, as well as the current situation in Syria. The two also conversed on possible areas of cooperation between the two countries, as well as plans for humanitarian assistance in Syria.
