Azerbaijani Deputy FM meets former President of Seychelles
Baku, April 30 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nadir Huseynov has met former President of Seychelles James Richard Marie Mancham.
The former Seychelles leader praised the activities of the Azerbaijani leadership, and also hailed the country`s development.
The former President said he first visited Azerbaijan to observe the presidential election in 2013, adding he later published a special edition of his “Voice of Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea” magazine highlighting Azerbaijan`s successes.
They said there was great potential for boosting cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism, and stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation in other areas too.
Marie Mancham also said Seychelles would bid for 2017-2018 UN Security Council seat, adding if the bid is a successes, his country will support Azerbaijan`s position.
He handed over a relevant letter of Seychelles President James Alix Michelin to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
