Azerbaijani female Olympic wrestling qualifiers return home
Baku, May 11 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani women wrestlers, who won two gold medals at the European championship and booked Olympic berths, have been given a triumphant welcome as fans, family members and sport figures gathered at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku.
Turkan Nasirova (46kg) and Leyla Gurbanova (52kg) both won gold medals and qualified for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games. However, according to FILA rules, only one of them will be able to contest Olympic medals in Nanjing, China, this August.
