Azerbaijani, Finnish FMs meet in Helsinki
Baku, May 15 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has today met Foreign Minister of Finland Erkki Tuomioja in Helsinki.
Tuomioja stressed the importance of the Azerbaijani FM`s visit to Finland.
Mammadyarov noted there were great opportunities for further expansion of the bilateral relations between the two countries and stressed the necessity of organizing business forums and strengthening a legal framework between Azerbaijan and Finland.
The Azerbaijani Minister provided an insight into the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He said Azerbaijan wanted the dispute to be solved peacefully in compliance with the norms and principles of the international law.
Mammadyarov also noted that official Yerevan continued to disregard resolutions of the UN Security Council supporting Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and condemning Armenia`s aggressive policy.
They discussed Azerbaijan`s chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and multilateral cooperation.
