Azerbaijani FM meets Chairperson of Czech Senate Committee
Baku, April 16 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has today met a Czech delegation led by Chairperson of the Senate Committee on EU Affairs Miroslav Krejca.
They discussed relations between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic, as well as developments in the region.
Mammadyarov highlighted the course of peace talks to settle the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Azerbaijani FM said the international community had demonstrated double standards in this dispute, adding official Baku wants soonest and fair settlement of the conflict.
Krejca said questioning a state`s territorial integrity and inviolability of borders was unacceptable.
Mammadyarov briefed the Czech delegation on Azerbaijan`s energy strategy.
He said Azerbaijan attached great importance to parliamentary diplomacy.
The Foreign Minister said Azerbaijan was interested in expanding cooperation with the Czech Republic in a variety of fields, including education and economics.
