Azerbaijani ICT minister meets Secretary General of International Telecommunication Union

Baku, June 8 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s minister of communications and information technologies Ali Abbasov has met Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union Hamadoun Toure as part of the 3rd meeting of Broadband Commission for Digital Development in France.

They discussed preparatory issues related to an international exhibition and summit, which will be co-organized by the International Telecommunication Union, United Nations and UNESCO in Azerbaijan this October.

Abbasov said Azerbaijan would present a big pavilion at the exhibition.

Toure described Azerbaijan as the region`s leading country in terms of information technologies.

He expressed confidence the forthcoming event would be a success.
