Azerbaijani, Israeli foreign ministers sign protocol on regular diplomatic consultations
Baku, April 30 (AZERTAC). Foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Israel have today signed a protocol on regular diplomatic consultations in Baku.
The document was signed by FM Elmar Mammadyarov and Avigdor Lieberman.
At the signing ceremony, the two hailed relations between their countries, and discussed prospects for the bilateral relations in the fields of politics, economics, trade, science and technology.
Mr. Mammadyarov provided an insight into the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and ongoing negotiations to solve the dispute.
He said the Armenian armed forces` withdrawal from the occupied lands of Azerbaijan was the major condition for the improvement of peace process, adding the conflict must be solved only within the framework of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Lieberman hailed the role of the Jewish community in Azerbaijan in developing the bilateral relations between the two countries.
