Azerbaijani Minister of Agriculture meets head of EU delegation
Baku, January 25 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Agriculture Heydar Asadov has met head of the European Union`s Delegation to the country Malena Mard.
They discussed a variety of issues, including food security and prospects for developing relations between the Ministry and the EU.
The Minister spoke of Azerbaijan`s European integration policy. He highlighted the execution of “Agricultural and Rural Development Support Programme” between the country and the EU.
Mard touched upon the projects carried out by the EU in Azerbaijan`s agrarian sector.
She said the EU was interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan, particularly in ensuring food and nutrition security.
Mard said she would spare no efforts to contribute to further expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan during her tenure in Baku.
