AZERBAIJANI MINISTER OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MEETS GREEK DELEGATION
Heydar Babayev, Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan met Monday with the delegation headed by Minister of Development of Greece Christos Folias.
Mr. Babayev said a Council of Business would be established to develop the two countries’ economic relations.
Emphasizing the importance of creating joint enterprises and long-term cooperation strategy the Azerbaijani Minister said trade turnover between the countries would increase in the future.
Christos Folias said energy issue was important for Greece, adding that official Athens supports Azerbaijan’s integration into Europe. He also said the goal of the delegation’s visit to Baku was to have exchange of views on cooperation with Azerbaijan in several fields.
“We have to strengthen our relations with Azerbaijan thanks to its wise President’s advice”, said the Greek Minister.
The meeting also discussed the question of transportation of Azerbaijan’s natural gas to Greece, creation of joint enterprise, as well as cooperation in trade, tourism and other spheres.
