Minister of fuel and energy of Azerbaijan Republic now visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Majid Karimov, has presented the letter of the President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev to the King of Saudi Arabia, Guardian of Two Mosques Fahd ibn Abdel Aziz al-Saud, embassy of Azerbaijan in this country told AzerTAj. Conveying greetings and best wishes of President Ilham Aliyev to His Royal Majesty, the Minister underlined that leadership of Azerbaijan attaches great importance to all-round development of relations between the two countries.

The same day, Mr. Majid Karimov met the ministers of oil and mineral resources, trade, agriculture and water resources, industry and power. At the meetings, discussed were issues of mutual interest for both countries.

Minister of fuel and energy of Azerbaijan has signed joint statement with the ministers of oil and mineral resources of Saudi Arabia, which envisions exchange of experts, training of personnel, inviting specialists to the conferences and forums for development of links in the oil and gas fields, conducting joint researches, enrichment of scientific-technical experience.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan Republic to Saudi Arabia Mr. Elman Arasli attended the meetings.
