Mubariz Ibrahimov, Azerbaijani senior coach, said he included in his squad Islam Qasimov (52 kg), winner of the European juniors and youth championship, silver medallist of the world championship; Elchin Mayilov (57 kg), prizewinner of the world championship; Hakim Nazaraliyev (62 kg), twice world champion; Mobil Huseynov (68 kg) silver medallist of the world championship; Seyran Rahimov (82 kg), bronze medallist of the world youth championship; Asif Safarbayov (90 kg), bronze medallist of the world championship and Vasif Safarbayov (over 100 kg) European champion.
Azerbaijani referee of international qualification Jabir Ismayilov is authorized to officiate at the competition.
