AZERBAIJANI WHOLESALE COMPLEX TO BE BUILT IN MOSCOW
The construction of the Azerbaijani complex of wholesale trade will be soon launched in the district Southern Butovo, Moscow, AzerTAj correspondent learnt from the government of Moscow. This decision was made at the recent sitting of the intergovernmental commission on cooperation between the government of Azerbaijan and government of Moscow. In this respect, mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov signed an order on allotment of two ground areas (4,4 and 8,1 hectares respectively). Wholesale trade center with the total area 60.000 square meters will be constructed in these areas. The complex is scheduled to combine functions of distribution center and wholesale food market where the production from Azerbaijan will be brought. The estimated cost is not fixed yet. However, the construction is said to begin in early 2005. International Bank of Azerbaijan-Moscow is expected to be one of the main investors.
In specialists’ opinion, wholesale trade center will allow to arrange trade-economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Moscow, also raise goods turnovers between the two countries.
