Azerbaijani wines presented in Japan
Tokyo, April 28 (AZERTAC). Savalan wines of Azerbaijan`s Aspi Agro company have aroused great interest at Wine & Gourmet Japan exhibition.
Commercial director of the Aspi Agro Teymur Mammadov told AZERTAC`s correspondent that the Wine & Gourmet Japan is the biggest wine trade show in Japan.
Mammadov noted: “Last year saw the participation of over 800 companies from 15 countries and about 72 thousand visitors. We have been preparing for this event for long time. Preparation of respective documents only took four months.”
He pointed out that visitors showed great interest in the Azerbaijani stand. According to him, the Japanese surprised him with the knowledge of wines because only the company`s specialists could answer some specific questions.
Mammadov noted that the Japanese visitors were well aware of Azerbaijan, in particular, the biggest skyscraper under construction and praised Azerbaijani wines.
On the second day of the exhibition, Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Japan Gursel Ismayilzadeh visited the stand. He hoped that Savalan wines would access Tokyo`s markets.
The company held talks with representatives of over 30 companies at the event.
“We believe that the participation of Aspi Agro at the Japan exhibition can be considered successful,” he added.
