AZERBAIJAN`S AMBASSADOR TO GERMANY VISITS BAVARIA
During the meeting with the Secretary General of Bavaria`s Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Deifier, Ambassador informed about the Azerbaijan`s economic growth, projects being implemented in the non-oil sector. Mr. Deifier underlined that the economic forum held in Berlin last year during the official visit of Azerbaijan President to Germany, February 2007 arose the high interest. The sides have also discussed the conducting Azerbaijan-Bavaria Economic Forum in Munich.
At the meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Science and Culture of Bavaria, Mr. Shahbazov gave detailed information on the state structure, history and culture of Azerbaijan. The sides exchanged views on the upcoming Year of Azerbaijan Culture in Germany, March-November 2008.
M. Shahbazov met with the member of the board of “Siemens” Mr. Lamberts to discuss the activity of the company in Azerbaijan. Mr. Lambert expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, adding that the electric power station being constructed by Siemens in Sumgait will be commissioned early 2008.
Ambassador has also met with Azerbaijanis living in Bavaria and informed of the socio-economic development of the country and the large-scale projects being implemented in Azerbaijan.
