Azerbaijan’s Culture Minister meets ICCROM Director General to discuss cooperation

As part of his visit to Italy, Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Minister Adil Karimli, met with Aruna Francesca Maria Gujral, Director General of the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), headquartered in Rome.
The meeting, held at the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Italy, saw Minister Karimli emphasize that the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage belonging to various peoples and religions is pursued as a state policy in Azerbaijan—a model of multiculturalism and tolerance. He highlighted Azerbaijan's significant contributions to restoring monuments and shrines representing various religions, both at the state level and through initiatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Aruna Francesca Maria Gujral, who participated in the COP29 Summit in Azerbaijan this November, praised Azerbaijan’s excellent organization of the global event.
The discussions also focused on enhancing cooperation between Azerbaijan and ICCROM.
