Sanan Valizade, an employee of Azerbaijan’s Electronic Security Service (ESS) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, participated in the international Japan Security Analysis Conference 2026 (JSAC 2026) held in Tokyo, Japan.
Organized by the Japan Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Center (JPCERT/CC), the event focused on modern cyber threat campaigns, activities of APT groups, malware analysis, and response mechanisms to cybersecurity incidents.
The conference included demonstrations of real-world incidents involving phishing attacks, Man-in-the-Middle techniques, and the evolution of RAT and C2 infrastructures. Participants also exchanged views on incident attribution, multi-cluster attack analysis, and the investigation of large-scale exploits.
During practical sessions, the event addressed enhancing skills in analyzing malicious emails and performing malware analysis through reverse engineering. The conference also underscored the importance of early detection capabilities and coordinated response mechanisms against global cyber threats.
Since 2025, Azerbaijan’s Electronic Security Service has actively cooperated with the Japan Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Center.
