Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Russia marks Solidarity Day
Moscow, December 26 (AZERTAC). The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Russia has organized an event celebrating 31 December - the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day.
Ambassador Polad Bulbuloglu, addressing the event, congratulated attendees on the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and upcoming New Year. Bulbuloglu on behalf of himself and the Azerbaijanis living in Russia also congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on his birthday.
The ambassador spoke of ongoing development process in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. He pointed out that President Ilham Aliyev successfully carries out the political course determined by national leader Heydar Aliyev for ten years. “Under Ilham Aliyev`s leadership, Azerbaijan has become a member of the United Nations Security Council. On behalf of attendees of the event, I would like to congratulate Ilham Aliyev, and wish him great achievements for Azerbaijan`s progress in forthcoming years.
President of All-Russia Azerbaijani Congress, academician Mammad Aliyev told of activities and achievements of the Congress in 2013 and plans for 2014. He said the Congress voted for President Ilham Aliyev and congratulated the Head of State on his birthday. Aliyev said “Ilham Aliyev is a President of all Azerbaijanis not depending on where they live”.
Yury Artyukh, head of the Moscow Government`s Department for Interregional Cooperation, Social Inclusion and Relations with Religious Organizations, praised the current level of Azerbaijan-Russia relations. He said the Moscow Government had effective cooperation with various organizations and Embassy of Azerbaijan.
Some members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora were awarded with Embassy`s honorable diplomas.
Following the awarding ceremony, a solemn reception was held at the embassy.
The event was attended by Russia`s prominent public and political figures, heads and activists of Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations in various regions of Russia.
