AZERBAIJAN’S FIRST LADY ATTENDS INAUGURATION OF AZERBAIJAN HALL IN GENEVA

Speaking at the event, Azerbaijan’s first lady expressed her gratitude to the UN Geneva office for participating in establishing the Azerbaijan Hall.
Mrs. Aliyeva spoke of huge projects being implemented in her
country, adding Azerbaijan’s economy is rapidly developing.

Mehriban Aliyeva also stressed Azerbaijan’s growing international prestige.
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation said Armenia occupied twenty percent of her country’s territory, forcing over one million
Azerbaijanis to flee their homes and become refugees or internally displaced.

Mehriban Aliyeva stressed Armenia continues to reject four UN Security Council resolutions demanding unconditional withdrawal of the Armenian occupation forces from the Azerbaijani lands.
The Azerbaijani first lady called on all international organizations to use their influence for peaceful settlement of the dispute.
