Azerbaijan`s Minister of Justice meets President of PACE

Baku, September 23 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Justice, chairman of Judicial-Legal Council Fikrat Mammadov has met Anne Brasseur, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

The Minister highlighted close cooperation of Azerbaijan with the Council of Europe in various directions, especially in the field of law. He also spoke about the reforms carried out under leadership of President Ilham Aliyev in the fields of human rights, democracy and supremacy of law.

The Minister said these principles were priorities of Azerbaijan during its chairmanship to Ministerial Committee of the Council of Europe.

Anne Brasseur, in turn, highlighted the constructive cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe.
