AZERBAIJAN`S PRIME MINISTER MEETS PACE PRESIDENT
Azerbaijan`s Prime Minister Artur Rasizade met Monday with President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Rene van der Linden.
Mr. Rasizade underlined that PACE President`s visit to the region is a momentous event in the socio-political life of the country. The negotiations in Baku will give an impetus to enhancement of cooperation with this structure, said Prime Minister. Artur Rasizade highly valued the stance of the PACE President who stated during the press conference in Yerevan that PACE does not recognize elections in the so-called ``Nagorno-Karabakh Republic``.
On the global transport and energy projects being implemented in the country, Mr. Rasizade said that construction of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad would start in August this year.
According to the Prime Minister, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict remains the major problem for Azerbaijan, which despite Azerbaijan leadership`s commitment to the peaceful resolution, has not been solved because of non-constructive position of Armenia.
PACE President, in his turn, highlighted positive results to be produced by education projects in Azerbaijan.
