AZERBAIJAN`S YOUNG GRECO-ROMAN WRESTLERS WIN NINE MEDALS IN GEORGIA

Azerbaijan`s young Greco-Roman wrestlers brought home a clutch of nine medals from an international tournament in Georgia, a spokesman for Azerbaijan`s Wrestling Federation said.

Azerbaijani athletes competed with best wrestlers from Turkey, Russia, Armenia and Georgia.

Azerbaijan`s best results were posted by Eldaniz Azizli (42 kg) and Araz Valiyev (58 kg) who beat all their rivals to mount the highest step on the podium.

Silver medals came from Murtuza Tagıyev (69 kg) and Shahriyar Mammadov (76 kg).

Five other Azerbaijani wrestlers Orkhan Jabbarlı (42 kg), Sarkhan Mammadov (46 kg), Rasul Junayev (50 kg), Orkhan Valiyev (54 kg) and Fuad Aliyev (63 kg) had to be satisfied with bronze.
