Meeting participants unanimously decided to provide representation of OANA in the Council established by the world congress of news agencies. OANA will send its delegation to participate in the first sitting of the Council to be held in Amman, November 12-13.
The role of OANA founded in 1961 at the UNESCO’s initiative was discussed in the meeting. OANA as Asia’s largest organization of news agencies plays important role in the world information area. It was announced at the meeting that AZERTAC is one of the three news agencies to send the largest number of news for OANA’s website.
