BAKU HOSTS 1ST CASPIAN OIL TRADING AND TRANSPORTATION CONFERENCE
The 1st Caspian Oil Trading and Transportation Conference organized by the Confidence Energy Ltd and Azerbaijan State Oil Academy (ASOA) began April 23 in Baku. The official sponsor of the conference is Gross Caspian Oil and Gas Logistics LLC, and its partner- HIS. The event is supported by Azerbaijan Ministries of Industry and Energy and of Transport, Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO), Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and US Chamber of Commerce.
The Conference focuses on the Caspian crude and oil products trading and transportation issues highlighting importance of cooperation development between energy partners from the CIS, Europe, Middle East and North America.
Addressing the participants, ASOA rector, corresponding member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences ( ANAS), professor Siyavush Garayev told of development of the oil and gas market of the Caspian region. He underlined that event participants could familiarize with the state and prospects of production of oil and oil products, and establish cooperation with the different companies.
Director of the Confidence Energy Ltd Andrey Rudenko expressed his confidence that this event would promote the further development of the cooperation between the companies and implementation of the new projects.
“ Caspian region is one of the perspective oil-and-gas bearing basin of XXI century. The growing significance of the Caspian region on the world energy markets attracts the attention of the largest oil companies. This state impelled the Confidence Energy Ltd to hold this conference in Baku”, said Mr. Rudenko.
The representatives of the companies from Great Britain, Russia, Turkey, Iran, Kazakhstan, Czech, Ukraine, Georgia, China, Switzerland, Turkmenistan, France, Germany and other countries attend the event.
