Baku hosts conference on business opportunities for America and Azerbaijan

Baku, June 3 (AZERTAC). The business and investment conference “Business opportunities for Azerbaijan and America” has started in Baku.

The conference organized by the US-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) aims at creating new business ties and trade relations between America and Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan is major energy supplier for Europe, the USACC co-chair James A. Baker said.

Azeri Finance Minister Samir Sharifov informed on economic achievements of Azerbaijan, underlining that in 2010 the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the U.S. totaled 2.3 billion dollars.

Themes on various topics dedicated to economic indices of America and Azerbaijan were discussed at the conference.
