Baku hosts “Inadmissibility of illegal interference in electoral process” session
Baku, August 23 (AZERTAC). A session entitled “Inadmissibility of illegal interference in the electoral process” has been held in Baku.
The event was co-organized by the Presidential Administration, the Central Election Commission and OSCE Office in Baku.
Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov highlighted the importance of the workshop.
According to him, the “CEC members and the organizations involved in preparation for the election must hold it transparently and fairly”.
The sessions aim to exchange views with heads of regional executive authorities and chairmen of constituency election commissions regarding the inadmissibility of illegal interference in the election process.
The event featured speeches by Deputy Head of department at the Presidential Administration Arastun Mehdiyev, Head of the OSCE Office in Baku, Ambassador Koray Targay, Head of the Democratization Unit at the OSCE Office in Baku Nicholas Detsch, Deputy Chairman of the CEC Natig Mammadov.
The sessions will be organized for heads of regional executive authorities and chairmen of constituency election commissions.
The sessions will be held in Mingachevir on August 27 and in Shirvan on August 30.
