Baku hosts Vietnamese Days

The fourth Vietnamese Days have officially opened in the country, aimed at strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties and promoting mutual integration between Azerbaijan and Vietnam.
The project features a comprehensive action plan marking the 1st anniversary of the bilateral strategic partnership and the 67th anniversary of relations established during Ho Chi Minh's 1959 visit to Azerbaijan.
As part of the program, the leadership and delegation of the Hanoi Academy of Music participated in the intercultural dialogue featured at both the Baku events and the Gabala International Music Festival.
Bilateral cooperation plans are underway to sign a sister-city agreement between Gabala and Vietnam's premier tourism hub, Nha Trang, alongside launching a promotional campaign for the Gabala Music Festival to Vietnamese audiences.
On July 29, the visiting Vietnamese delegation paid tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev visiting his monument and touring the President Ho Chi Minh Room at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), followed by a meeting at the Azerbaijan State Economic University to discuss bilateral cooperation prospects.
A gala concert featuring Vietnamese performance artists is scheduled to take place at the Baku State University (BSU).
Partnerships with these universities are strategically important for Vietnam, as most Azerbaijani-educated Vietnamese specialists from the Soviet era are alumni of these institutions.
The Vietnamese delegation's schedule includes meetings at the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) and the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, alongside an Azerbaijan Cinema Day event presenting late filmmaker Ajdar Ibrahimov's book on Vietnam.
As part of the "Vietnam Days," an extensive open-air cultural program showcasing Vietnamese traditional music, dances, and art masterpieces will be held on August 1 in Icherisheher, the historic heart of Baku.
Organized by the Azerbaijani embassy in Vietnam , the cultural project is supported by the "Icherisheher" State Historical-Architectural Reserve Administration, the Vietnam National Academy, and the corporate sector.
