Baku Metro migrates IT systems to “Government Cloud”
Baku, February 3, AZERTAC
As part of the implementation of Presidential Decree No. 718, “On measures for the creation of the ‘Government Cloud’ (G-cloud) and the provision of cloud services,” Baku Metro has migrated its IT systems to the “Government Cloud.”
In line with the Decree’s requirements, the information systems and resources of “Baku Metropolitan” CJSC have been partially hosted at the Baku Main Data Center operated by “AzInTelecom” LLC.
The company has provided cloud services, including Virtual Server – IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) and Backup – BaaS (Backup-as-a-Service), ensuring high availability for the institution’s critical systems.
The “Government Cloud” project, implemented by “AzInTelecom” LLC, part of AZCON Holding, involves the full or partial migration of IT systems of state institutions to the company’s data centers. This transition reduces IT expenditures, ensures centralized domestic storage of information systems, and enables continuous 24/7 monitoring.
“AzInTelecom” LLC is the first organization in the South Caucasus region to receive TIER III certification, which defines international standards for cloud services.
