Baku, November 30 (AZERTAC). The 6th International Science Olympiad will take place in Baku, from December 2-11 with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) and Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva will patronize the event.

Over 6000 students and their teachers applied for participation in the Olympiad, which is to be held among the 15-year-olds on physics, chemistry and biology.

Rector of Azerbaijan`s Diplomatic Academy Hafiz Pashayev will lead the Science Committee of the Olympiad, while Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov the Organizing Committee.
