BAKU TO HOST SUMMIT OF TURKISH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES` PA
Baku, September 24 (AZERTAC). A summit of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkish-speaking countries will be held on September 28-29 in the Azerbaijani capital, MP Nizami Jafarov said.
According to Jafarov, the event will bring together parliamentary delegations led by speakers from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Representatives of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are not excluded to attend the summit, too, he added.
Jafarov noted during the event a secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly will be established, and it will operate in Baku. He also pointed out the session`s agenda will be determined during its first meeting.
Jafarov said it was possible to involve parliamentarians of other Turkic nations in the Assembly, to be exact, Turkic autonomous republics within Russia.
He underlined the summit participants could also consider an issue on establishing common TV channel of Turkic nations.
