BLACK SEA TRADE AND INVESTMENT PROMOTION PROGRAM PRESENTED IN BAKU

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) presented the Black Sea Trade and Investment Promotion Program in Baku business-center, June 12.

UN Resident Representative in Azerbaijan Bruno Pouezat underlined that program aimed to support the economic growth in the Black Sea region, expand the trade and investment relations between the BSEC member states.

“A program coordinator will be appointed in every BSEC country. The representatives of the small and medium-sized business will benefit from this. The program will allow eliminating the gender inequality, as, the main attention is to be paid to the companies led by businesswomen, said Mr. Pouezat.

President of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) Emil Majidov noted that the fund would become the bridge in implementation of the program.

The program is financed by the Turkey’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, Ministry of Economy and Finance of Greece.

The donor organizations, supporting the local business in Azerbaijan, were presented at the meeting.
