Book of selected speeches of President Ilham Aliyev presented in China
Baku, Aug 28 (AZERTAC). The Center for Strategic Studies (CSS) under the President of Azerbaijan has held the presentation of the Chinese-language book "Selected Speeches by President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev, 2003-2012." The presentation took place in Beijing.
The delegation of CSS visited Beijing on August 26.
According to the report, during the visit to Beijing CSS director Farhad Mammadov spoke on "The role of Azerbaijan in the Caucasus region" to Chinese experts at the Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Then the presentation of the book by CSS leading researcher Rashad Karimov "Selected Speeches by President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev, 2003-2012" was held. The advisor for the publication of the book is Head of the Political Analysis and Information Support of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Elnur Aslanov.
The event was held at the Beijing Сenter of World Culture with the support of CSS and the Azerbaijani Embassy in China. Among more than a thousand guests attended the event were Chinese officials, scientists, businessmen, heads of authoritative Chinese media, extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of Russia and Kyrgyzstan to China, diplomats from Turkey, Venezuela, Moldova and Ukraine.
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to China Latif Gandilov opened the event. He noted that the book will help to learn more about Azerbaijan.
Vice-President of the Chinese Academy of Contemporary International Relations Phim Chung Ping, Professor of Ethnic University, turkologist Hu Jen Hua and director of CSS Farhad Mammadov spoke at the event.
The book is dedicated to Ilham Aliyev's successful activity during his presidency in 2003-2013 years, the successes achieved by Azerbaijan in various spheres, the country's integration into the world community, the problems the country has faced, the CSS director said. According to him, the book will help strengthen the relations between Azerbaijan and China, and let the people of two countries know each other better.
